Insurance Information
At Simons Therapy, we take our clients’ confidentiality seriously, and we prefer an individualized approach to therapy to meet your unique needs.
In order to uphold individual privacy, insurance is not accepted. The reason for this is that insurance companies require psychologists to provide a client’s diagnoses and confidential information to dictate the type and course of treatment.
However, many of our clients choose to submit their own receipts to their insurance carriers for out-of-network reimbursement. We are more than happy to accommodate this and provide receipts that can be submitted directly to your insurance for potential reimbursement. If you choose this route, we recommend contacting your insurance company directly so you fully understand your benefits.
Session Fees and Good Faith Estimates
![]()
Navigating the financial side of therapy shouldn’t be a source of stress. We believe in being transparent about our fees and want to make the process as clear as possible.
Therapy Session Fees
![]()
The fee for a 50-minute individual therapy session ranges from $170 to $250, depending on your provider. For couples and family therapy, sessions are 75 minutes long, and the fee varies by provider.
Payment is due at the time of your appointment, and we accept credit cards and Health Savings Account (HSA) cards. We also offer a limited number of reduced-fee appointments on a sliding scale for those in need; please contact Dr. Simons directly for more information.
Psychological Assessment Fees
![]()
Due to the personalized nature of our psychological assessments, the fee structure is determined on a case-by-case basis. After an initial consultation, your provider will discuss the recommended tests, the estimated duration of the assessment, and a clear fee structure with you.
It’s important to note that psychological assessment appointments cannot be booked online. Please fill out the contact form or call us at 720-772-6915 to request an appointment.
Good Faith Estimates
![]()
Under federal law, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” for the total expected cost of any non-emergency medical services. This is designed to give you a clear, written estimate of your bill if you don’t have insurance or are not using it.
- You have the right to request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling any service.
- If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your estimate, you have the right to dispute it.
