Dr. Helene Simons

I have expertise working as a licensed psychologist with individuals of all ages experiencing various psychological issues. My areas of specialization include eating disorders, depression, anxiety, relationships, trauma, and addiction. By using an empowerment approach to therapy, I help people recognize their strengths and find motivation to make changes in their lives. Integrating my therapeutic experiences and collaborating with my clients enables me to promote health, wellness, and recovery. I enjoy helping children, adolescents, and adults build insight and improve their self-esteem and relationships.

Experience: I formerly ran the Evening Intensive Outpatient Program at EDCare, an eating disorder treatment center in Denver, CO. In that role, I acted as a primary individual and group therapist, led an interdisciplinary team, and supervised doctoral-level students. I completed a Post-doctoral Fellowship at Children's Hospital Colorado Eating Disorder Program.
